SYTA Youth Foundation

Mission: The SYTA Youth Foundation is the 501(c)(3) philanthropic sister organization of the Student & Youth Travel Association.

SYTA Youth Foundation mission is to impact students and youth through travel experiences that change their lives. The goal of the SYTA Youth Foundation (SYF) is to design and implement programs that “Give Something Back” to student and youth travelers. As a non-profit organization, SYF depends almost entirely upon outside contributions to support our programs and services.

SYTA Youth Foundation Services:  We believe that TRAVEL CHANGES YOUNG LIVES FOR GOOD, and to that end, the SYTA Youth Foundation strives to provide access to travel opportunities for the maximum number of young people that would otherwise be unavailable due to family hardship, budget cuts in school systems, or simply lack of the access to or education about travel as a learning experience.

The SYTA Youth Foundation provides scholarships and financial aid for students and youth who would otherwise miss valuable educational travel experiences and group performance opportunities.

Through strategic partnerships and initiatives, SYF does the following:

  • Enriches the link between travel experiences and character development
  • Identifies opportunities that support the evolving needs of today’s youth
  • Designs and implements assistance projects to enhance social, cultural, and educational experiences
  • Targets financial and alternative support resources to further fund SYF objectives

The Impacts of SYF:

  • Over $90,000 was awarded in 2015 to over 160 students in need 3,500+ students impacted by SYTA’S Student and Youth Foundation
  • $820,000 CASH SCHOLARSHIPS PROVIDED
  • Donating to SYF. Donating to SYF isn’t just a wonderful, socially responsible thing to do. It is also good for business. With your support, SYF is able to communicate the value of student travel and its impact to the economy to a larger community of influencers.
